The Lexicon Schools Observe ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign on Gandhi Jayanti

PUNE: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, joined forces to observe the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign. Based on this initiative, The Lexicon Schools, Pune conducted an event that saw active participation from students, teachers, and the community, united in their mission to promote cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene throughout society. The campaign focused on “Shramdaan”, emphasizing community participation as a “Jan Andolan.

“The initiative, aptly named “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” Swachhata Hi Seva’, took place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Green Sunrise Hill, Wagholi-Bakori Road, Radheshwari Nagar, Wagholi Pune. Participants gathered at the Radheshwari Tukaram Maharaj Statue at 9:45 a.m. to kick off the day’s activities.

Mr. Pankaj Sharma, President of The Lexicon Group of Institutes and Chairman & MD of Pune Mirror, Civic Mirror & MultiFit, commented on the significance of the event, saying, “The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign embodies the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for a clean and hygienic India. It is heartening to see the active involvement of students, teachers, parents, and the community in this noble endeavor. Cleanliness is not just a duty; it’s a way of life, and initiatives like these reinforce that message. “The event started with a small pledge where the students, teachers, staff members, and parents pledged their support in keeping the surroundings and environment clean. Here, Mr. Hanumant Deshmukh, Educator, Coach, and Career Counselor, guided the students on how efficiently they can make a difference in society. He led the pledge and started the cleaning drive with complete energy and enthusiasm.Mr. Nasir Shaikh, Group CEO of The Lexicon Group of Institutes, EduCrack & EasyRecruit+, also shared his thoughts on the campaign, stating, “With such active involvement of the students and parents, we aimed to foster a sense of responsibility for our environment and surroundings.
